First things first: a big warm hello! I’m Angie Mendez, event calligrapher and engraving instructor here at Letter This Letter That.
My love of beautiful scripts and lettered elements stem from the daily presentation of handwriting in my previous career: I was a teacher for nearly ten years! It was my OG calling; I will always adore math and education.
In 2021, I took a turn in my career to focus on being a stay-at-home parent. Lettering became a way for me to stretch my creative muscles, and it has grown to where we are today: a calligraphy and engraving studio based in California’s beautiful Sonoma County.
A carry-over from my time as a highly visual learner and teacher, I understand the impact of words, composition, small details… and what a memorable impression is left when they are executed artistically.
